Know your odds before you apply

Open a posting and the side panel reads it for you. In seconds you see how well your profile fits, which keywords you hit, which you're missing and what to do about it.

  • A score from 0 to 100

85 and up means you meet the must-haves; under 60 means real gaps. Scored against your own profile, not a generic checklist.

  • Keywords you hit, and the ones you miss

The posting's own wording, split into what your profile already shows and what it doesn't, most important first.

  • Three quick wins

Short, honest moves, like surfacing a bullet you buried. It never tells you to claim a skill you don't have.

  • It reads the job for you

On LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and most career pages. Anywhere else, highlight the description and right-click “Use as job description”.

Match scores never count toward your monthly allowance.

02Tailor

Tailored in under a minute. Never invented.

Applyd rewrites and reorders your real experience for each role, mirroring the posting's wording only where it truthfully describes what you did. Then it checks every line against your profile before you see it.

  • Facts are copied, not written

Employers, job titles, dates and degrees come straight from your profile. The AI never writes them.

  • Every number is checked

A metric that isn't in your profile fails the check: it's removed and your original bullet comes back.

  • Coverage, before and after

See how much of the posting your resume covered before tailoring, how much it covers now, and what's still missing.

  • A target for each kind of role

Save a headline, summary and skill order per target, then pick one when you tailor. The facts never change.

03Cover letters

Three tones. One true story.

Pick a tone and Applyd writes a letter for this exact job from your real experience, with the same rule as your resume: every number must already be in your profile.

  • Three tones

Professional and polished, enthusiastic about the mission, or concise and direct. Pick one before you generate.

  • 250–350 words

Three or four paragraphs: long enough to make a case, short enough to get read. Never a [Company] placeholder.

  • Grounded in your experience

Written only from your profile. Claims and numbers that aren't in it don't make it into the letter.

  • Copy, edit or download

Copy it straight from the side panel, or edit it and download PDF or Word. Editing never uses your allowance.

Example: the opening of one cover letter written in three tones. Choose a tone to compare.
Cover letter · Northwind 312 words

Dear Northwind hiring team,

I'm writing to apply for the Senior Frontend Engineer role at Northwind. At Brightcart I rebuilt our checkout in React and TypeScript, lifting conversion by 18%, and built shared UI components now used by four product teams.

I would bring the same care for accessibility to Northwind: I run audits on the flows I own and fix what they find before release.

04Autofill

Autofill that stops at submit

One click fills the application from your profile: fields, dropdowns, work history, education and your tailored resume. Anything Applyd isn't sure about is flagged yellow, and the submit button is always yours.

Filled from your profile Needs your review Not touched
  • Deep support, broad reach

Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday forms are supported in depth. iCIMS, SmartRecruiters, Taleo, BambooHR and custom forms usually work in generic mode.

  • Workday, step by step

Applyd notices each new Workday step and can fill it automatically. Workday's own “Save and Continue” stays your click.

  • Dropdowns, history and uploads

Picks the closest option in each dropdown, adds work-history and education blocks, and attaches your tailored resume, as Word when a form won't take PDF.

  • Green is filled, yellow needs a look

Drafted answers, sensitive questions and anything uncertain are outlined yellow. Click an item in the review list to jump to it.

  • What you typed stays yours

Fields you already filled are left alone unless you tick “Overwrite fields I already filled”.

  • Forms in seven languages

Reads common application labels in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch.

Found the job on LinkedIn or Indeed? Applyd reads the posting there for your match score and tailoring, then fills the employer's own application form.

05Answer bank

Write a great answer once

Questions like “Why do you want to work here?” are drafted for you to edit, and the answer you insert is kept. Next time a similar question comes up, Applyd suggests it.

  • Drafted, then edited by you

Long answers arrive as a draft in the side panel. Nothing goes into the form until you click Insert.

  • Saved as you go

Edit and insert an answer and it lands in your answer bank automatically. Or add your go-to answers yourself.

  • Suggested when it fits

When a similar question shows up on another form, your saved answer comes first, ready to adapt. Never pasted blind.

  • Yours to search and prune

Find, edit or delete any answer, and see how often you've used each one.

06Prep & outreach

Ready for the call, and the follow-up

After you apply, Applyd keeps working from the same job: practice questions with answers from your real experience, and messages that get you noticed.

Interview prep

Likely questions for this role, with answers outlined from the experience you actually have.

  • Likely questions for the role, each with what the interviewer is probing
  • STAR outlines built only from your own experience
  • Smart questions to ask them, and the gaps to prepare for

Recruiter outreach

Short, specific messages to the recruiter or hiring manager, with one concrete fact from your profile and a clear ask.

  • A LinkedIn note that fits the 300-character limit
  • An email of 90–150 words, plus a follow-up for a week later
  • Add their name and role, or leave it as “Hi there”

Both live on the job's page in your dashboard. “Interview prep” in the side panel takes you there.

07Tracker & insights

A tracker that fills itself

No spreadsheet to keep up. Applications land on your board as you apply, and your own numbers show which sources, templates and habits actually get replies.

  • Logged as you apply

Autofill moves the job to Applied with the resume you sent; “Save to Tracker” keeps it in Saved. Cards never slide backwards on their own.

  • Everything about one application

Notes, contacts, interviews, follow-up reminders and offer details live on the card.

  • Search insights

Response and interview rates, median days to a reply, and response rate by source, by template and tailored vs not.

  • Compare offers

Every card in your Offer column side by side, so the decision is about the numbers, not your memory.

08Documents

Built to parse, made to read

Clean, single-column resumes that applicant tracking systems read without a hitch and recruiters can skim in seconds. Tweak the layout, download, and keep every version.

  • 4 ATS-friendly templates

Classic, Modern, Compact and Minimal. All single-column, with standard headings and real text, the format applicant tracking systems parse best.

  • PDF and Word

Every resume and cover letter downloads as either. When a form only accepts Word, autofill attaches a .docx for you.

  • A one-page fitter

Tightens spacing first, then text size down to 85%, until your resume fits on one page. Or switch it off.

  • Every version kept

Edit a bullet, then save over it or as a new version. Changing the layout or text never uses your allowance.

The details

Small things that matter

The quiet decisions that save you from an awkward double application, a form in the wrong format or a Sunday spent copying and pasting.

  • Duplicate-application warning

Applyd warns you if you've already applied to this posting, or to the same company in the last 30 days.

  • Self-ID defaults to “Prefer not to say”

Gender, race, veteran and disability questions get that answer unless you explicitly choose to store your own.

  • Works on your phone

Sign up, upload your resume, tailor from a pasted job description and manage your tracker. Then email yourself the desktop link.

  • Resume or CV, Letter or A4

Applying outside the US? Switch to A4, “CV” and British spelling in one place.

  • Right-click any job description

If a page isn't detected, highlight the description and choose “Use as job description”.

  • Most things are free to use

Match scores, autofill, the answer bank, the tracker and editing documents never use your monthly allowance.

  • Follow-up reminders

Set a date on any application. When it's due, the card gets a Follow up badge and shows on your dashboard.

  • One-click problem reports

“Report a problem” sends us the site and field counts, never your answers, so a broken form gets fixed for everyone.

  • Export or delete, any time

Download your data as a JSON file, or delete your account and files from Settings.
